Bad Writing and Worse Audio

The Internet's Worst Gaming Podcast Returns! Well, at least Loki Jarson (me) does. I recorded a solo show dealing with only two games: Gears of War 4 and Horizon: Zero Dawn. More specifically, the writing and plot of these games and how they are both terrible for different reasons. Less analysis and more late-night rantings, this episode was recorded in the middle of the night without really stopping. As such, a few things to note: I completely forget the name of both a character in Gear of War 4 and the name of the primary antagonists until nearly the end. My explanation of the AI system in Horizon: Zero Dawn doesn't make a whole lot of of sense, but the game does a very poor job of explaining them anyways. Halfway through, I realize my microphone cable is tapping against my desk so a very irritating clicking noise is heard for the first half of the show. My thoughts may seemed erratic at times but that is just how I talk when I have no one to bounce ideas o...

Will this actually come out when they say it will? Can you finally swim? The Nintendo Switch Can Nintendo drag itself up back into gaming glory with this new console? Will it come with all of the accessories? Will it cost most of an arm and 2/3rds of a leg? Finally, a very special edition of The 5ives where we answer YOUR questions and mention our most embarrassing gaming moments. Episode 34: Red Dead Man's Switch

RIP Jo Stizzy's Mic

The Internet's Worst gaming podcast returns! With even worse audio! Like the title says, Jo Stizzy 's microphone died shorty before recording this episode, but that won't stop him and Loki from debating and discussing the latest games and issues. They talk and Overwatch and Loki shares a story about a job he almost got as a real writer. Does Stizzy also think it's GOTY material? Plus, they started playing Destiny again and discuss talk the Taken King dlc and King's Fall raid. Best of 2016 So Far

We're only halfway through the calendar year, but there already have been some fantastic video games released in 2016. Here's a top-five list of my favorite games so far this year. Plus, reasons why they could (but won't) be Game of the Year. Special note: games like Dark Souls 3 , Quantum Break and Doom do not appear on this list because I either have not played them or played nearly enough of them to have a definitive opinion.  Hitman: GO Definitive Edition Yes, it’s an upgrade of a mobile game, but the simple interface underlies a fascinating puzzle game. You play as a tiny hitman moving along straight lines towards your target. Every time your character, 47, makes a move, the other pieces on the grid move as well. You have to position yourself carefully to be out of the line of sight of the guards, while using distractions, disguises and even sniper rifles. It’s a perfect, simplified version of its big brother, Hitman. GOTY?   No. It is in fact a re-rel...
